ITV Emmerdale affair ‘sealed’ as character’s jealously leads to new sinister plan

Emmerdale spoilers for next week have teased a new affair between two characters.

In upcoming scenes this week, Vinny Dingle will be left for dead as evil Tom King takes violent revenge. Soap fans will recall that Tom has been coercively controlling his wife Belle Dingle ever since they got married, and it has left viewers understandably terribly concerned for Belle.

This week, soap watchers will see Tom dash home from a work trip after seeing Vinny arrive at his home to spend time with Belle on the secret camera he has set up. Upon getting home, Tom is frustrated as he can’t find her and he can’t locate her on his tracker app either.

Belle and Vinny are oblivious as they walk through the woods with their dogs, and Belle complains about her phone. Vinny offers to fix it and Belle makes her way home, whilst Vinny heads to the scrapyard with her phone.

As Tom tracks the phone down at the scrapyard, he panics when he hears Vinny coming into the portacabin and hits him over the head with a paperweight. Rather than try to help Vinny, he wipes his fingerprints and leaves Vinny bleeding on the floor.

Next week airs the aftermath of the violent crime as a concerned Belle is shocked to see Vinny so battered and stays to care for him. Meanwhile, Tom is jealous of Belle’s relationship with Vinny and he soon finds a way to deliberately belittle him. Later, Belle is left confused when she spots Tom seemingly bonding with Vinny, questioning his true motives and what he is actually up to.

Coming up with a theory for his befriending of Vinny, Tom claims he is keen to help Vinny find a girlfriend and enjoys the process of helping him find one. Tom soon sets his sights on Gabby Thomas for Vinny but arriving Belle is made to feel uncomfortable as Tom enjoys spending time with Gabby… could this be the start of an affair between Tom and Gabby?

Emmerdale continues Monday to Friday at 7:30pm on ITV and ITV X.
