ITV Emmerdale couple’s exit ‘confirmed’ as Ruby Milligan plots revenge on Kim Tate
Emmerdale's Ruby Fox-Miligan confirmed her and husband Caleb's exit from the village during Tuesday's episode after their son Nicky recently left the soap
Ruby Fox-Miligan (portrayed by Beth Cordingly) confirmed plans to leave Emmerdale along with her on-screen husband Caleb (played by William Ash) during Tuesday’s episode (9th July) of the ITV soap.
In the recent twist, Emmerdale’s central character, Kim Tate (Claire King), made a sarcastic comment aimed at Ruby following Nicky Miligan’s (Lewis Cope) departure. “Bus stop or train station? “, Kim quipped at Ruby, adding, “I’m fervently hoping that you’re off to join your son at whatever rock he’s crawled back under.”
Ruby instantaneously retorted, “I was just going to get some flowers for your grave, you mouldy corpse”. Later in the episode, Ruby met up with Rose Jackson (Christine Tremarco) as they discussed their scheme against Kim.
Standing beside a river in the midst of a forest, the two women exchanged teasing banter before Rose admitted to Ruby: “I’m sorry your lads gone,” reports the Express.
“Yeah me too”, Ruby answered, and then revealed, “Anyway, me and Caleb are going away for a bit.” She also clarified: “We’re going to take stock, reassess, work through all the cliches”, thereby confirming their departure plans.
Rose then pondered aloud: “Family comes first, doesn’t it? Never thought I’d be saying that”, leading to Ruby expressing her perplexity.
“You wanting to stop this thing we’re doing, it’s for the best,” Rose opined. However, in a sharp tone, Ruby corrected her: “I don’t want to stop this thing we’re doing. I want to go away knowing it’s all coming together.”
“When Kim gets her comeuppance it will be hilarious,” Ruby predicted, reminding Rose of their deal by saying she paid off her debts and in return, she must “get it done.”
Ruby’s hubby Caleb once attempted to bring down Kim after it was revealed he was the secret offspring of Frank Tate (Norman Bowler), Kim’s former flame. Kim had abandoned Frank during a heart attack, leading Caleb to hold her responsible for his demise.
Ruby has directed Rose to use her past romantic ties with Kim’s spouse Will Taylor (Dean Andrews) to her advantage.
As an infiltrator at Home Farm, Rose seems ideally positioned to lure her ex a move that would undoubtedly shatter Kim.
Ruby’s plot to ruin Kim and flee the village with Caleb follows their son Nick’s departure last week. When Charles Anderson (Kevin Mathurin) grew suspicious of the Milligan family’s possible involvement in Ethan’s hit-and-run, Caleb chose to shoulder the blame for the incident to protect Ruby.
As Caleb and Ruby tried to rope Nicky into their latest scheme, he finally lost patience and decided it was time to leave the village with Suni Sharma (Brahmdeo Shannon Ramana), amidst his parents’ deceit.
Will Ruby and Caleb actually bid farewell to the Dales? Viewers will have to stay tuned.
