ITV Emmerdale exit ‘sealed’ after stabbing horror – and it’s not Samson Dingle

Emmerdale aired some big scenes tonight when Samson Dingle was stabbed by Matty Barton in shock scenes after a fight between them and new arrival Josh went wrong

Emmerdale fans have rumbled a big exit storyline for one character amid a stabbing storyline.

Samson Dingle was stabbed in huge scenes tonight, with Matty Barton to blame for what has happened after the knife he was holding ended up in Samson’s stomach, but could it lead to a huge exit on the Dales?

In shocking scenes, Josh confronted Matty after he poured their paid-for beers down the drain. He had had enough of Josh constantly flirting with Amy, despite knowing that Matty and Amy were recently married.

Things escalated when vile Josh started referencing Matty being transgender and in a furious confrontation, Matty warned them to leave – but Josh wasn’t having it. He pushed Samson forward, and onto the knife that Matty was holding. In horrifying scenes, Samson was whisked away in an ambulance – whilst Matty found himself arrested.

Is an exit on the way after the stabbing horror?

Fans are convinced this could now lead to an exit for Matty, if the worst happens to Samson.

“So now Matty is going down for murder/manslaughter. #emmerdale,” one wrote, whilst a second added: “Matty better hope that Samson tells the truth about how he got stabbed. #Emmerdale.” A third penned: “Cue Matty getting falsely accused, like every character going in any soap nowadays #Emmerdale.”

Whatever happens, Samson will be departing the Dales, but Sam Hall – who plays the teenager – insists he won’t be killed off. He said: “Well, I don’t want to give too much away, but Samson has some really big stuff coming up. Don’t worry, as he’s definitely not being killed off! There are some good stories coming up for him, and I was very excited when I read the scripts.

“I like playing mean Samson, but I think his good side always shines through. Like with the baby storyline, he was worrying about Amelia being okay for Esther because Samson obviously lost his mum – and he didn’t want his kid to grow up without a mum.”

Speaking about his character’s past, he added: “So, he can get angry, but his intentions are always right in the end. At the end of the day, he was just a confused young teenager who didn’t really expect to be having a kid so soon.”
