ITV Emmerdale fans fear Rosie Bentham and Daisy Campbell have been axed as they enjoy Spanish holiday
Rosie Bentham and Daisy Campbell are taking time away from Emmerdale to get some Spanish sunshine - but fans are concerned one of them may have been axed from the soap
Emmerdale stars Rosie Bentham and Daisy Campbell have swapped glum lives in the ‘dales for a sun-soaked holiday as they enjoy some time away from the soap.
The actresses have jetted off to Spain and have been doing their best to make their fans jealous as they have been sharing plenty of snaps from their sunny escape. Rosie, 22, has played Gabby Thomas on the ITV soap since 2016 while 20-year-old Daisy has played Amelia Spencer since 2011.
The pair have been living like locals in the city of Barcelona – taking the subway and partying in cavernous nightclubs. The pair have shared snaps from tourist destinations like the Sagrada Familia and have been clinking their glasses together while enjoying sipping on cocktails.
The highlights have included showing Daisy looking less than thrilled on a busy underground train – but overall the duo appear to be having a blast in the Spanish sunshine. It’s just the latest trip for Daisy who has enjoyed a string of European trips this year. Back in April she enjoyed a break in the Italian fashion capital city of Milan – sharing snaps of herself enjoying local food, architecture and fashion installations.
She also took in Lake Como during her trip – posing for a number of photographs beside the iconic stretch of water that is a holiday home to many A List stars including George Clooney. And ahead of her trip to Spain, Daisy enjoyed a jaunt to Budapest – the capital city of Hungary – where she shared shared snaps of herself posing near the historic city centre.
Fans of Daisy have hinted they fear she has been cut from the long-running soap. One worried fan asked via Instagram: “Where are you? Miss you in the dales.” However fans can rest easy – as Daisy has already revealed she won’t be leaving the world of soap any time soon.
In an interview with The Sun, Daisy – who has played Amelia on Emmerdale since she was just seven-years-old – said: “I’d love to stay on it for as long as I can. I recently signed for another year and couldn’t be happier.”
However, she dis warn fans that she has no idea what is in store for her character – explaining the writers could kill her off in a heartbeat. She said: “I never take it for granted because you never know when they might kill you off. It can happen to anyone.”
Meanwhile, Rosie has recently teased upcoming storylines for her own character, Gabby. She told DigitalSpy: “I hope there’s happiness for Gabby. I think it’s going to be a really tough few months coming up – obviously she got left on her wedding day. She’s young, she’s going through a lot and a lot of changes. She wants to be successful and she’ll do anything she can to get there. Fingers crossed.”
