ITV Emmerdale fans ‘rumble’ Ella’s real revenge plan as link to another resident ‘exposed’

Emmerdale viewers believe they’ve worked out what Ella Forster’s secret is ahead of a storyline for the newcomer.

The character, played by Paula Lane, debuted on the show earlier this year and soon secured a job at the GP surgery. Ella has found herself caught up in a love triangle with Dr Liam Cavanagh and his former flame Chas Dingle of late, but it seems she’s also hiding something huge.

Amid claims of a secret link to someone outside of the village, her recent behaviour has left fans convinced there’s more to her arrival. As a recent episode saw Ella talk about a friend who encouraged her to get into nursing, fans were sure this was another big hint to her possible link to a former village villain.

Viewers are convinced Ella could be planning revenge against people in the village, and that she may be linked to serial killer Meena Jutla. After all, Meena’s sister Manpreet and the person who helped bring her downfall, Liam, are both working at the surgery.

Ella is getting to know the pair, so could she be targeting them both on behalf of killer Meena? Fans certainly think so, with one writing on X: “Is Ella there for some kind of revenge?”

Another viewer said: “Ella is connected to Meena… who shall be returning soon,” as a third added: “Ella has something to do with Mina.” It comes following Paula teasing the truth about what her character is hiding.

“Ella does have a past that is going to be revealed. She does have responsibilities elsewhere outside the village that mean a great deal to her and I’m so looking forward to exploring this further,” she explained to Digital Spy.

“When something or someone so important to her is put at risk she will fight so hard to protect that situation. This is a part of her we’ve yet to see and there is currently a lot at stake and a lot to fight for.”

When she arrived in the Dales, Paula teased that she’d be at the centre of a love triangle. “There’s already been a relationship going on there at the minute in the surgery. So I don’t know. There might be some fireworks, there’s a little bit of competition, perhaps. Little love triangle going on.

“But behind closed doors, who knows what can happen. So there’s a brand new set that we’re actually building, surgery is going to be on Main Street. And that’s when all this character will kind of come in, I’m going to be at the heart of the village, working out the new surgery,” she said.

Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7:30pm on ITV1 and ITVX, with an hour-long episode on Thursdays.
