Emmerdale fans are convinced they’ve rumbled who will save Belle Dingle after a very ‘telling’ Tom King scene on Friday night.

The ITV soap is tackling a coercive control storyline with Tom and Belle, and fans have recently seen Tom isolating and manipulating his partner Belle. With his vile and violent behaviour worsening recently as he took Belle to Wales on the pretence of a holiday in a recent episode but he actually planned to relocate there without his wife knowing, even applying for a job.

To make matters worse, Tom didn’t let Belle tell any of her family about their ‘getaway’ and even hid her mobile so she couldn’t contact anyone. Thankfully, Belle’s family member Charity Dingle has been very suspicious of Tom’s behaviour and after learning of Belle’s sudden departure, she decided to investigate on Tuesday’s episode with Cain Dingle as they arrived to the trashed cottage in Wales – with no sign of anyone at the property.

On Wednesday’s flashback episode, it was revealed that Tom’s vile behaviour had escalated even further in terrifying scenes. After targeting their dog, Piper, and locking Belle in the cottage, the brave character decided to escape with Piper when Tom was in the shower. Belle managed to get on a bus and drive off as Tom chased after her.

On Thursday night, Belle returned to the Dingles’ home while Tom lied to Belle’s family, pretending she hadn’t taken her medication and that he had done nothing wrong, blaming her mental health. Later, Belle headed home to pack some belongings but Tom was waiting for her, where he warned: “I will kill you before I let you leave this house.” However, Belle didn’t listen to Tom and bravely left.

On Friday night, it was clear that Tom was hiding near the Dingles’ home as Sam Dingle let Piper out and Tom pretended she had escaped, bringing her back. Vinny Dingle seemed wary of Tom and later when alone with Belle, he gently asked her if Tom had been abusive. It was clear Belle was scared and she got emotional, admitting that Tom can twist things and be verbally abusive.

Later in The Woolpack, Vinny overheard Tom being nasty about Belle to which he decided to confront him. In retaliation, Tom decided to tell the entire pub that Belle had an abortion instead of a miscarriage and Belle entered the pub just at that very moment. In more shock scenes, Tom then accused Vinny of sleeping with his wife.

Later, Tom confronted his wife in the beer garden, where he gaslighted her and Belle promised not to say anything more about him to anyone. The episode ended with Belle scolding Vinny, warning him to back off and stay out of her life.

Taking to Twitter, now X, viewers are convinced Vinny will save Belle and expose Tom once and for all. One person said: “Vinny knows Belle is being abused #Emmerdale”, a different account put: “Ooooooh Vinny could be onto him #emmerdale”, another wrote: “vinny can see tom for who he is #Emmerdale” while a different show watcher added: “Vinny is the kindest soul in the village. He’ll help Belle, no doubts.#Emmerdale.”
