ITV Emmerdale killer Amit’s next victim ‘revealed’ as villager vows to expose his crimes

Emmerdale villain Amit Sharma could claim another victim on the ITV soap next week, as one character gets closer to the truth about a death in the village

Emmerdale killer Amit Sharma may strike again next week on the ITV soap, as a soap legend vows to expose his recent crimes.

Eric Pollard could end up dead like his tragic pal Rishi Sharma, Amit’s brother, as he goes snooping with the help of Vinny Dingle. It follows on from Amit targeting Eric in a plan to fleece him, only for Eric to seemingly rumble him.

In upcoming episodes, Amit enquires about Pollard’s wealth and forms a cunning plan, as he attempts to gain the village favourite’s trust. Eric is intrigued when charming Amit presents a lucrative business proposition amid their bong growing, but his friend Rodney Blackstock is concerned.

Rodney advises Eric away from Amit, which he ignores and soon Amit manipulates him into making a deal with him. Pollard’s all in as he commits to their joint venture, but he tells Amit he needs to discuss it with partner Brenda first before signing any deal and sending any money over.

It remains to be seen if Eric does part with his cash, but spoilers for next week tease their new bond has collapsed. Eric is now eager to expose Amit, convinced he’s up to no good – even seemingly wondering if he betrayed his late brother Rishi.

Rishi died last year after seemingly falling down the stairs, while his son Jai later found out that Amit had been there when he died. Amit claimed they’d rowed and Rishi fell, dying instantly.

Jai refused to forgive him and Amit was even shopped to the police, only for it to be decided that it was an accident. But viewers know full well there was more to it, with Amit practically confessing to causing Rishi’s death for his share of some inheritance money they were both left after a relative died.

But Eric could be Amit’s next victim as he sets his sights on exposing Amit, convinced he is up to something. Pollard’s rattled after Amit coldly warns him to keep out of his affairs, but he’s determined to keep digging – so what exactly has Eric done?

When Vinny gets Eric Amit’s keys and keeps him distracted, Eric heads to the place where Rishi died, and starts rifling through Amit’s files. Amit realises what’s going on though and heads straight for the house with Eric unaware.

It’s not clear whether Amit finds out, but what does happen next is Eric pleads with Jai to believe his suspicions about Amit, while it doesn’t specify whether this is about the scams or Rishi’s death. But he’s left utterly defeated when pitying Jai dismisses his claims – so has Eric pushed Amit to kill again?

Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7:30pm on ITV1 and ITVX, with an hour-long episode on Thursdays.
