Ruby Fox-Miligan’s downfall has been exposed on Emmerdale – after Ethan Anderson’s shock death.
Ethan collapsed during last night’s episode during a heart to heart conversation with his father Charles Anderson ahead of his time in court. The young man was rushed to hospital but unfortunately passed away, leaving the Anderson family broken.
Viewers will know that Ethan was subjected to a hit and run by Ruby, who mowed him over after he left her son Nicky Miligan for dead in a horrifying car crash just outside the village. However, until now, no one else has known Ruby was behind the wheel.
However, tonight, Ruby struggled with the guilt of what she had done and eventually confessed to her husband Caleb Miligan and son Nicky that she was responsible for the hit and run – and thus feared she was responsible for Ethan’s death.
Nicky seemed wracked with guilt now he knew the truth and rushed out of the room, with Caleb fearful that Nicky would tell Charles about his wife’s part in the crash. Sharing his worry, he told Ruby that the only thing the pair of them had done well was raising Nicky to be better than them – but will Nicky tell Charles and Claudette what Ruby has done?

Charles is understandably devastated about the loss of his son – but could he be out for revenge?
Speaking about the big scenes, Kevin – who plays Charles – shared: “Charles has lost his one and only constant, who has been in his life throughout when others have come and went. Charles needs to deal with a life without Ethan.
“It’s going to be devastating for Charles to deal with. It was devastating to know Emile was leaving. We joined the show together, and we sort of bonded straight away – and he’s been amazing playing my son. He’s a good mate, and we’ve had some great moments. It’s been an amazing journey but it’s going to be so weird him not sitting next to me in the dressing room.”
Could all that happened lead to a shock exit for Ruby, if the Andersons learn the truth about what she did? Could she be facing a potential prison sentence – or will Ethan’s death be ruled an accident?
