ITV Emmerdale star teases identity of Ethan’s attacker as deadly twist confirmed

Emmerdale's Caleb Miligan actor Will Ash has teased three characters could be behind the looming and deadly revenge attack on Ethan Anderson on the ITV soap

Emmerdale viewers will see one “murderous” character run over Ethan Anderson next week, and now one star of the ITV soap has teased who it is.

Caleb Miligan actor Will Ash has hinted whether one of three named suspects could be the driver behind the hit and run next week, leaving Ethan injured in a revenge attack. There’s also hints that it could be someone else entirely, while three people in particular have a motive.

Caleb’s son Nicky’s life remains on the line with him still in hospital, after being injured and left for dead in a recent episode. His friend Ethan crashed the car they were in after drinking, before pulling Nicky out of the vehicle and fleeing the scene.

Caleb, Nicky’s mum Ruby and his uncle Cain have sworn revenge, after Ethan’s arrest during Monday’s episode with him released on the Tuesday. With his son on life support, Caleb fumes as he sees Ethan walking around fine like nothing has happened.

Soon Cain, Caleb and Ruby are murderous when they spot Ethan in the village, each of them keen to take revenge for his cowardly actions, and for what happened to Nicky. Soon, one of them, it seems, takes that revenge and injures Ethan in a hit and run.

He’s deliberately run over in a deadly attack and left injured, but his fate remains to be seen. Now, actor Will has teased who is likely to have caused it, and whether his own character could have been the driver.

Speaking to The Mirror and other press, he said: “I think in this instance, in terms of motivation for Caleb, it’s all there right in front of him, what has happened. There’s no grey areas at all with it, it’s like he’s in the wrong, this guy.

“So I think either of us could have done it, or any of the three of us. It’s totally motivated.” Viewers will have to tune in next week to find out if Ethan survives, and who the driver is.

It comes as viewers predicted a revenge attack on Ethan before the spoilers were revealed. Taking to X, one fan posted: “Oh dear…Cain & Caleb are going to unalive Ethan!” as another said: “The Dingles are going to FINISH Ethan. I think he is better off inside than out.”

Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7:30pm on ITV1 and ITVX, with an hour-long episode on Thursdays.
