ITV Emmerdale teases murder twist as character issues sinister threat in dark scenes

Emmerdale's latest episode of the ITV soap saw two characters go head-to-head, with a chilling threat teasing a possible attack if not a murder

Emmerdale fans saw one ruthless character warn a resident about their recent dark behaviour, teasing a possible death or assault could be on the cards.

Jai Sharma took action as Eric Pollard continued to use their recent drama against him, resulting in a sinister threat. Viewers know that Eric knows the truth about Amit Sharma leaving the village, and Jai getting ownership of his businesses.

He and Eric had found out Amit deliberately killed his brother and Jai’s adoptive dad Rishi Sharma, before Amit turned on Eric as he came under threat. Eric and Jai teamed up to expose Amit, but Jai took things a bit too far when he shoved Amit down the stairs.

He then held him hostage and threatened him, with Eric appalled by what he’d done. To settle things, Jai told Amit he had to leave for good, and sign over The Hide and his businesses to him, excluding his son Suni from the deal.

Amit agreed as he had no choice with his confession recorded, and Eric and Jai kept the truth between themselves. But now Eric is using this information to get Jai to do things for him.

Recently, Eric ordered Jai to sack Victoria Sugden from The Hide as the main chef, after she dumped Eric’s grandson Jacob Gallagher. With Jacob devastated, Eric took revenge and forced Jai to get rid of her, threatening to expose him over Amit’s exit if he did not.

Since then he’s caused more trouble, and the latest episode saw him racking up a huge bill with food and drinks. Jai told him his tab had gone well over £150, resulting him telling him to back off.

Jai said he was grateful for his help but he needed to stop, as he was testing his patience. Eric taunted him more, resulting in Jay warning he was not to be crossed, and he knew that full well.

Eric wasn’t put off though and mocked him, asking what he was going to do to him. Jai then escalated his threat, suggesting he needed to watch out – so will he be forced to take action?

Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7:30pm on ITV1 and ITVX, with an hour-long episode on Thursdays.
