On Monday night, at the TV Choice Awards 2024, the hit ITV soap won big as it took home the coveted Best Soap accolade while Cain Dingle star Jeff Hordley took home Best Soap Actor.

Taking to Instagram after the star-studded awards ceremony, Mandy star Lisa, 47, was full of praise for her co-star and Emmerdale. Posting a picture of the winners, Lisa penned: “MASSIVE congratulations to our @jeffhordley so well deserved, and long long long overdue.

“And massive congratulations to the entire @emmerdale family to everyone at @tvchoicemagazine who voted. Such great news to kick off our New Year up in YORKSHIRE #emmerdale #tvchoiceawards #awards #tonight” followed by clapping emojis.

Lisa’s 195K followers and Emmerdale fans were quick to react to the sweet post. One person said: “I agree Lisa…. Jeff’s recognition is way overdue. He is fantastic…there’s only one Cain Dingle”, a different account put: “Well done to @emmerdale actors, they deserved this” while another added: “Absolutely long overdue amazing actor congratulations to @jeffhordley and Emmerdale.”
