ITV Emmerdale’s Samson Dingle’s brutal death ‘sealed’ as fans ‘rumble’ how he dies

Emmerdale fans are predicting a character could be involved in the demise of Samson Dingle on the ITV soap, following reports actor Sam Hall had been axed and was being killed off

Emmerdale viewers have predicted a major death theory for Samson Dingle, amid reports he will be killed off on the ITV soap.

Actor Sam Hall has reportedly been axed from the role after 15 years, with it claimed the character is being killed off. The soap has yet to confirm the news, and there are no details regarding when he will leave, or how he will die.

But recent scenes on the soap have left fans speculating whether Samson will be killed by another character, or if it will be linked to an ongoing storyline. Viewers have come up with a number of theories, including one that could see him murdered by Belle Dingle’s abusive husband Tom King.

Some fans also predicted Mackenzie Boyd could accidentally kill Samson in an accident linked to the garage, while another theory was an accident on Moira Dingle’s farm could lead to his demise. Taking to X one fan posted: “Any truth to Samson being killed by Tom?”

Another fan said: “Is it possible that Mack is going to try to sabotage Sarah and end up killing Samson?” A third theory suggested: “Random thought but I thought #Emmerdale was gonna have a car accident leading to Samson dying as the accident that was teased. What if it’s a farming accident with Isaac? this seems like a really random story ‘Moira’s delighted with Isaac taking an interest in the farm’.”

It follows the reports that actor Sam was left devastated by the news he was being written out, with the death of his character making it a permanent exit. A TV insider told The Sun: “Sam had a meeting with bosses earlier this month where they broke the news. He has been left devastated. He’s grown up with his on-screen Dingle clan and they are all very protective of him.”

They added: “Some of the cast even went to talk to bosses about their decision. As news of his axing through the building there were quite a lot of angry Dingles. The fact that they are planning on killing him off means there’ll be no way back for him either. He’s absolutely gutted.”

Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7:30pm on ITV1 and ITVX, with an hour-long episode on Thursdays.
