Eden Taylor-Draper, who plays Belle, previously confessed her character is “turning a blind eye” to Tom’s true behaviour. She said: “We have witnessed his controlling behaviour but I think Belle herself is just turning a blind eye to all that at the moment under the assumption he’s just doing it all out of love.

“All the Dingles seem to like Tom. But of course they haven’t seen that other side of Tom when he tries to control things. The audience saw it when we did the 12 Angry Dingles. So to the Dingles he is a great guy.”
