Liam Cavanagh (Jonny McPherson) had an important chat with Ella Forster (Paula Lane) about their relationship in tonight’s episode of Emmerdale.
The two characters got together after Ella’s arrival to the village.
At the time though, Liam had no idea that Ella killed her best friend when she was a child. When her secret was exposed, Liam expressed his hurt over Ella keeping it a secret, given his daughter Leanna was also murdered.
Things have been a bit up in the air for these two ever since the ordeal surrounding Ella’s pregnancy. They’ve spent time together, but haven’t quite committed to a proper relationship.
In the instalment of the ITV soap that aired tonight, Ella plucked up the courage to admit that she misses Liam and wondered if they could be an exclusive couple again.
Liam agreed but when Ella put forward the idea of a date…he said no.
Liam covered and said he had an important seminar to attend. Not wanting to sit in the awkward vibes for any longer, Ella politely said they could do it another time.
Later that day, Liam found Paddy (Dominic Brunt) and revealed he’s actually going to a Murder Mystery event and knew it would be a sensitive subject for Ella to ponder over.
In the week, Liam will have his feelings for Ella questioned again when he’s involved in a charged moment with ex-partner Chas (Lucy Pargeter).
He’ll have to choose eventually, but will Liam confront his feelings for Chas, or stick with Ella?
