Tom destroyed something irreplaceable in a shocking scene on the soap
EMMERDALE fans appear to be growing tired of a tedious storyline and have demanded it be axed from the show.
Fans of the ITV soap opera have seen Tom King and Belle Dingle’s marriage begin to crumble within hours of first tying the knot.
Ever since, it has been plunged further and further into despair as Tom’s controlling ways continue to escalate.
Things came to a head between the pair when Tom brutally kicked and smashed a pot containing Belle’s mum Lisa’s ashes after yet another heated row.
During the argument, Tom could be heard comparing Belle and her family to a “circus” before saying “well at least a circus ends”.
In the episode, Belle and Tom went to Marlon’s surprise birthday party but Belle was onto him sabotaging her first day at work.
As she questioned him he denied everything and tried to turn it around on her not trusting him.
Outside the party, Tom lashed out kicking the pot that holds Belle’s mum’s Lisa’s ashes.
The pot smashed against the pig pen and Lisa’s remains went everywhere leaving Belle devastated.
“It’s my mum,” said Belle. “Her ashes. She’s everywhere. Look at what you’ve done.”
Tom insisted: “I just kicked anything. I’m sorry. But if you’re going to keep your mum in some stupid place, you might want to put a sign up or something.”
A horrified Belle told him: “Or you could just not kick things to pieces.”
It was clear that Belle was feeling crushed by her husband’s words and actions as he continued to belittle her and reveal his hatred for her extended family.
Earlier in the week, he sabotaged Belle’s career and brand new job secretly, something which he later implied was all her own doing after making a “cock-up at work”.
Now fans have been left wanting the storyline finished for good as it becomes clear that Belle and Tom’s union is about to get a whole lot darker.
Taking to X to complain online, one fan ranted: “Looks like it’s time for a new producer!!! Why’s it always Bell?
“Sick of this storyline already, if it goes on and on I’m off, already done in with Corrie!!!”
Another added: “Can’t stand Tom! Waiting for Cain to make him pay for the way he treats Belle.”
Before a third went on to say: “I can’t watch the storyline.”
Whilst a fourth added: “The show isn’t good viewing right now, too many concurrent miserable and unpleasant storylines, have you taken on ex Eastenders producer and writing team?”
