NO WAY MACK Charity Dingle makes huge decision after ending her marriage to Mack in Emmerdale
Will Charity move on from her relationship with Mack?
AFTER stabbing him while in the midst of a night terror, Charity Dingle saw no hope for her marriage with Mackenzie Boyd.
However, the Emmerdale legend makes a huge decision about their relationship next week. Where will it leave them?
The Woolpack landlady portrayed by Emma Atkins was left traumatised by the death of Harry aka Damon Harris, whom she shot on Christmas Day to save her husband Mackenzie Boyd.
Struggling to cope with her trauma, Charity has developed PTSD-related symptoms and suffered from night terrors.
Unfortunately, one of these escalated in recent scenes of the ITV soap and a despondent Charity stabbed Mack (Lawrence Robb) in a panic as he tried to wake her up.
The hunk was brought to hospital while Charity was taken away by the police.
When she finally paid him a visit, Charity decided it was time for them to end their chaotic romance as she saw no way of going forward in the marriage, terrified of hurting him again.
However, in scenes airing next week, she seems to backtrack as Mack hears there will be no charges pressed against her.
Relieved, Mack tries to hug Charity but she flinches out of his grasp.
Soon, he’s encouraged when Charity texts to say he can bring the kids round tomorrow.
Welcoming the kids that afternoon, Charity feels overwhelmed but puts on an act for their benefit.
She hesitates to say how she feels to Mack, but he understands, and they separately sense progress has been made.
Off-screen, viewers of the Yorkshire-based program have not been happy with Mackenzie, due to his track record in the Dales.
This includes cheating on Charity with Chloe Harris and fathering her son Reuben before leaving her to die in a horrific car crash.
Many soap watchers have been eager to see Charity reconnect with her former fiancée Vanessa Woodfield, who recently returned to the eponymous village.
Unfortunately, this may not be on the cards as Vanessa has been focused on getting back into Suzy Merton’s good books, less than two years after their separation.
But with Mary Goskirk harbouring her own romantic feelings for Suzy, a love triangle may be brewing.
Could Charity be thrown into it all unexpectedly?
