NOT FAIR Emmerdale fans slam bittersweet blunder in emotional Chas Dingle cancer storyline
The blunder came ahead of Chas finding out the devastating news that she has breast cancer
EMMERDALE fans have been left unimpressed after picking up on a show blunder during Chas Dingle’s heartbreaking breast cancer storyline.
The bittersweet moment had fans talking as they couldn’t help but point out the same thing regarding Chas’ appointment.
On the ITV soap, Chas, played by actress Lucy Pargeter, was left floored to discover that she had a lump in her breast.
Dr. Liam Cavanagh informed her that he had felt it after they enjoyed a steamy romp with one another.
Chas was left absolutely flabbergasted as she refused to take in the information that he was telling her, particularly given her mum Faith’s death from her breast cancer diagnosis.
The family history of cancer left Chas rattled as Liam encouraged her to get herself checked out.

Just a day later, on the advice of Manpreet, Chas visited the hospital on a breast cancer referral in order to have a mammogram and later underwent a biopsy as well, after her consultation.
The news that she would need a biopsy left Chas worried that she could be about to find out something rather sinister although she received reassurance from the doctor.
However, fans could not help but comment on the fact that Chas managed to get her referral from the GP to the hospital in 24 hours.
Viewers of the programme who had been in similar situations in real life were left complaining that it portrayed an unrealistic expectation.
Taking to X – formerly Twitter – one fan said: “1 day referral that normally takes two weeks to get an appointment #Emmerdale.”
Another added: “#Emmerdale Chas getting to see a Consultant very quickly.I wish it was always like that.”
A third went onto say: “An appt within 24 hours for [Chas]. Even by Emmerdale standards that’s quick.”
Before a fourth penned: “Who thinks it’s fair Chas got an appointment so soon when people nowadays have got to wait months for appointments #Emmerdale.”
Sadly for Chas, fans know that the news will not be what she is hoping for after the soap confirmed that she would face a devastating cancer storyline.
In the coming weeks, she will be told by doctors that she does in fact have breast cancer.
In scenes yet to air, Chas is shaken to her core when she learns she has triple negative cancer and she eventually vents about her diagnosis to Liam.
Although she does her best to be brave, it’s clear she’s struggling and Chas begins to isolate herself in a bid to cope – and potentially ignore the reality of her diagnosis.
She makes Liam leave her alone as she fights to retain her composure, allowing herself to break down and cry once he’s gone.
