SAY GOODBYE ‘Can’t take him anymore!’ rage Emmerdale fans as they beg soap bosses to axe major character for good
The character was left fighting for their life in recent scenes after a horror stabbing incident
EMMERDALE fans have been left begging show bosses to ‘listen to the fans’ as they demand one character is axed for good.
The show’s loyal viewers have been left raging over Mackenzie Boyd, played by Lawrence Robb, in recent weeks and have called on the programme to get rid of his character once and for all.
They were dealt a brief glimmer of hope last week when Charity almost killed Mack after she stabbed him whilst suffering a mental health episode.
Some fans cruelly sat on the edge of their seats waiting to see if the character would be killed off.
Mack was left in hospital as he recovered from the stab wound with his family holding vigil by his bedside.
Charity was instantly taken in for questioning where it became clear that she was suffering from a form of hallucination after believing that she had seen Damon Harris, who she had killed weeks prior, lunging to attack her.
She confessed to the stabbing but pleaded that she thought her husband was Damon.
Charity later told the Police that she needed to be charged for what she had done to Mack.
Brutally, some Emmerdale fans had hoped that the incident would lead to the end of Mack after they expressed their desire for the show to scrub him from episodes for good, or at least separate him from Charity.
Taking to X – formerly Twitter – one fan said: “Dear Emmerdale producers. We don’t like Mack and we don’t like Mack and Charity together. #
“Please for the love of god get rid of the character!!!! I can’t take him anymore.”
Another echoed: “LISTEN TO THE FANS.
“@emmerdale PLEASE !!! Mack needs to go and Charity needs to be free of him. They are not a ‘love story’.”
A third then shared: “WHATS THAT?! CHARITY AND MACK OVER?! I pray to god it happens.”
Before a fourth suggested that show icon and one of the soap’s most notable and notorious villain’s ever, Meena Jutla, makes a return to finish the job off.
They penned: “Need Meena to get rid of Mack for good.”
During the dramatic scenes last week, Charity started to suffer from hallucinations of Harry terrorising her in her cottage.
Mack tried to snap his wife out of her waking nightmare, but when she did, she shouted: “Leave me alone” and lashed out with a knife.
Mack stumbled back and was bleeding heavily from the stab wound to his stomach, but Charity just sat in a catatonic state and was unable to help him.
However, it was the resulting aftermath that left fans baffled as they sank their claws into an epic on-screen error.
With doctors taking Mack in for life-saving surgery in theatre, Moira asked: “Erm…can I go with him?” but was told no by the nurse.
“You need to make him better,” she told the nurse, before turning to Mackenzie and sobbing: “I’ll be waiting…I love you.”
But Emmerdale fans were baffled by Moira’s comment, and took to X – formerly Twitter to chastise her.
One wrote: “Can I go with him…I think Moira got the wrong type of theatre…”
Another added: “How can you go with him Moira he’s going to theatre.”
