They’re not the couple you’d expect, but we are routing for this Emmerdale pair!
It’s been a whole game of will they / won’t they, but Gabby Thomas (Rosie Bentham) and Vinny Dingle (Bradley Johnson) are finally there and ready to take the next step in their relationship.
It’s taken its sweet time because it’s been anything but pure romance for these two.
When Vinny first felt that there were sparks between him and Gabby, he misread the signals and went in for a kiss.
This immediately derailed them as Gabby was quick to shove him back in the friendzone, clearly expressing an ick over his impulsive act.
Vinny was mortified by this and ran with his tail between his legs. But then they were given a little glimmer of hope when Laurel (Charlotte Bellamy) learned about the incident and questioned Gabby on why she’s ruining what could be a good thing.
This gave Gabby food for thought when she compared the bumbling heart-of-gold Dingle with her plethora of idiot exes.
At this point, she started to see him differently.
But then they were derailed again when Tom (James Chase) got wind of Vinny’s virgin status and began cruelly taunting him with it.
Gail (Rachael Gill-Davis) also learned that Vinny had never had sex and while trying to give him a pep talk, she instead made him embarrassed, and he shut down.
So, when Gabby then suggested they get down and dirty at the Dingles’, Vinny freaked out and sent her packing. And with Gabby not one to laugh off dented pride, it looked like they were done for good.
But thankfully, the pair have persevered and they’re about to share a kiss. This is a huge moment for Vinny, he finally feels safe enough to tell Gabby what he really wants – he’s ready to have sex. Will things go according to plan?
