Two Emmerdale stars quit ITV soap and have already filmed final scenes

Two fan favourite Emmerdale actors have reportedly quit the hit ITV soap and their scenes have apparently already been filmed

Two Emmerdale stars have reportedly quit the hit ITV soap with their final scenes set to air very soon.

According to reports, Nicky Milligan and Suni Sharma, played by Lewis Cope and Brahmdeo Shannon Ramana, are said to be leaving the soap. The on-screen fan favourite couple have reportedly already filmed their exit scenes and will bow out of the ITV soap in a surprise exit this summer, claims The Sun.

It comes after Ethan Anderson, played by Emile John, left the soap recently after his character was killed off in a shock exit last month while Samson Dingle, played by Sam Hall, is also said to be leaving the ITV soap soon. Nicky was first introduced to Emmerdale in December 2022 while Suni made his debut in July 2023. The Mirror has contacted Emmerdale for comment.

Spoilers for next week appear to hint at a double exit for Nicky and Suni. In upcoming senes, Nicky continues to struggle following his parents’ betrayal. Soap watchers will recall that Nicky’s mum, Ruby Fox-Milligan, recently ran over Ethan in revenge for him leaving her son Nicky to die after a car crash, where he was over the drink limit.

At first, Ethan seemed to survive the hit and run. However, in a harrowing twist later in the week, Ethan clutched his head in pain before suddenly dying, leaving his family distraught. Nicky has been left disgusted over his mother’s actions and his father Caleb Milligan protecting his mum.

In upcoming scenes, Nicky is determined to distance himself from his parents and floats the idea of moving away with boyfriend Suni. With the reports of the two actors quitting, could this be their characters’ exit storyline?

Brahmdeo previously said of joining Emmerdale last year as Suni: “I’m delighted to join the Emmerdale family. Having watched the show with my mum and dad growing up it feels surreal. I’m so grateful to everyone here for making me feel so welcome. Confident, magnetic and very fashion conscious Suni looks forward to injecting some flair to the Emmerdale village.

“He’s not afraid to be his true self and go after what (and who) he wants. I think what Emmerdale does brilliantly is making sure there’s accurate representation of real people and telling their authentic stories. Bringing a wonderful character like Suni to life on a continuing drama is incredibly important to me as it gives exposure to a demographic which is sadly still under-represented so I truly hope to do him justice, and thank Emmerdale and it’s fans for the privilege.”

Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7:30pm on ITV1 and ITVX, with an hour-long episode on Thursdays.
