WHAT’S COOKING? Marlon Dingle makes worrying discovery about Charity in Emmerdale

CHARITY Dingle is struggling to cope after her Christmas turned into a murderous nightmare.
Next week in Emmerdale, Marlon Dingle realises she’s battling her own thoughts. But what could he do to help her?
The Woolpack chef portrayed by Mark Charnock has a lot on his plate in upcoming scenes of the ITV soap.
In scenes airing next week, Charity Dingle (played by Emma Atkins) is clearly struggling.
But while she may be trying to keep her turmoil under wraps, as she suffers from PTSD symptoms, Marlon senses she’s not being herself and immediately knows something is up.
Will he do something about it?
Will he figure out that Charity is still struggling to make peace with the death of Harry aka Damon Harris?
As regular viewers know, Moira Dingle (Natalie J. Robb) tried to help Charity with her trauma but the pub landlady clearly needs more support from her loved ones.
Marlon may be the ideal person for her to rely on – unless his own issues with his wife Rhona Goskirk take over.
The presence of baby Ivy at Smithy Cottage has caused tensions to arise between the couple and things could be getting worse next week.
Coming up for Marlon, Rhona (Zoë Henry) is concerned to see her ex-husband Gus is coping well with baby Ivy.
She’s then filled with dread when he explains he wants Ivy back full time.
As he packs up her things and heads out with her, Rhona tells Marlon that she hopes Ivy will play up for Gus.
The following day, they meet up with Gus and an emotional Rhona smothers the baby with affection.
However, she’s distraught when Gus moots finding them both a permanent new home.
Marlon asks Gus whether he’d be willing to let them co-parent but Gus tells them he plans to move to France.
In other scenes, guilty over his decision to go, Gus asks if Rhona and Marlon can take care of Ivy for the day, giving them a chance to say goodbye properly.
With all hope lost, Rhona is broken and she holds Ivy close.
Later, Marlon returns home to find Ivy and Rhona missing, along with their belongings.
Panicked, he explains to Mary Goskirk (Louise Jameson) that Rhona has taken off with Ivy.
What will it mean for their marriage?
